O Encontro #18 do Clube de Espectadores, Artistas e Programadores convida os participantes a irem até o Convento de San Payo em Loivo (Vila Nova de Cerveira), este que é um dos polos expositivos da XXVI Bienal Internacional de Arte de Cerveira. Este encontro está inserido no evento "Vai-Vem: Derivas Territoriais e a Urgência da Descoberta", uma proposta integrada na programação da XXIV Bienal Internacional de Cerveira.
O encontro começa pelas 11h00, com uma visita guiada à exposição A-SALTO: Vemo-nos no fim do mundo, com a presença de Mafalda Santos - diretora artística da Fundação Bienal de Arte de Cerveira. Esta exposição resulta de um projeto curatorial desenvolvido pelos alunos da Licenciatura em Artes Visuais da Escola de Arquitectura, Arte e Design da Universidade do Minho, reunindo obras de 9 artistas da coleção do Museu Bienal de Cerveira e trabalhos de 19 alunos da licenciatura. A-SALTO parte do conceito de "fim do mundo" enquanto espaço simbólico de limite, transformação e possibilidade, propondo diferentes olhares sobre os lugares que cada um habita e imagina.
De seguida, pelas 11h45, DULLMEA toma conta do Convento de San Payo para um concerto que explora as várias possibilidades entre a voz e a eletrónica.
Meeting #18 of the Spectators’, Artists’ and Programmers’ Club invites participants to visit the Convent of San Payo in Loivo (Vila Nova de Cerveira), which is one of the exhibition venues for the 26th Cerveira International Art Biennial. This meeting forms part of the event ‘Vai-Vem: Territorial Drifts and the Urgency of Discovery’, an initiative included in the programme of the 24th Cerveira International Biennial.
The event begins at 11.00 am with a guided tour of the exhibition ‘A-SALTO: See you at the end of the world’, attended by Mafalda Santos – artistic director of the Cerveira Art Biennial Foundation. This exhibition is the result of a curatorial project developed by students on the Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts at the School of Architecture, Art and Design, University of Minho, bringing together works by nine artists from the Cerveira Biennial Museum’s collection and works by 19 students on the degree programme. A-SALTO takes as its starting point the concept of the ‘end of the world’ as a symbolic space of boundaries, transformation and possibility, offering different perspectives on the places each of us inhabits and imagines.
Following this, at 11.45 am, DULLMEA will take over the Convent of San Payo for a concert exploring the various possibilities at the intersection of the voice and electronic music.
