Antónia Alves, natural de Arcos de Valdevez, é licenciada em Ciência Política e Relações Internacionais pela Faculdade de Ciências Sociais e Humanas da Universidade Nova de Lisboa e mestre em Estudos de Arte com especialização em Teoria e Crítica de Arte pela Faculdade de Belas Artes da Universidade do Porto, intersetando as duas formações numa vertente feminina e feminista. Ultimamente, tem vindo a dedicar-se mais à prática escrita, gostando sobretudo de escrever cartas e pequenas histórias, editá-las amadoramente e oferecê-las, tendo também realizado uma residência poética com António Poppe e exposto obras no Jovem Criador Aveiro 2022 e nas bienais d'art VEZ 2023 e 2025. Encontra-se, neste momento, a realizar um estágio profissional em Curadoria, na Associação Cultural Rock'n'Cave, em Paredes de Coura.
Antónia Alves, born in Arcos de Valdevez, has a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences at Nova University of Lisbon, and a master’s degree in Art Studies with a specialization in Art Theory and Criticism from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Porto, combining these two fields of study through a feminine and feminist lens. Lately, she has been devoting herself to writing practices, particularly enjoying writing letters and short stories, editing them as an amateur, and offering them. She has also completed a poetry residency with António Poppe and exhibited works at Jovem Criador Aveiro 2022 and the d'art VEZ biennials in 2023 and 2025. She is currently completing a professional internship in Curatorship, at the Rock'n'Cave Cultural Association, in Paredes de Coura.
