Australopithecus é um zine dedicado à narrativa experimental. Apresenta-se como um conjunto de contos curtos em formato de banda desenhada. Mas, de certa forma, existe uma ligação entre eles. Australopithecus surgiu da necessidade do autor de criar uma espécie de playground onde os limites da narrativa visual podem ser testados e explorados. O surrealismo e o misticismo estão frequentemente presentes nas suas páginas como forma de lidar com a existência, os sentimentos e a busca por um novo ponto de vista.
Australopithecus it's a zine dedicated to experimental narrative. It's presented as a bunch of short stories as a comic format. But in some way there's a link between them. Australopithecus came as a need for the author to create a sort of playground in wich limits of the visual narrative can be tested and explored. Surrealism and mysticism are often present in it's pages as a way to deal with existence, feelings and a search for a new point of view.
Gotapio is a born colombian draftsman living in france. His story with the drawing discipine started one ordinary afternoon in 1995 when national TV didn't had anything else to offer. He has cofounded Larva, a Comics Magazine in Colombia in october 2006, and now he's the author of the Australopithecus fanzine. Graphite, charcoal, pastel, acrylic and ink mark maker forever.
